Item #1007: DEC PDP-8

Currently the oldest system that I own, the PDP-8 was introduced in 1965 and withdrawn from the market
in 1968.  With a total production run of just 1,450, I feel lucky to own one.  The street price back then was
approximately $18,000!  I got mine at a local County auction for just $5.00!
Core memory is used, which is basically tiny round magnets with four wires connecting it to the others.
Each magnet is a bit.  The system came with 4K of core memory.  I'll try to get a picture or two of
the core memory board, as it is very unique and much different from today's RAM.
